Description

Done for class, this is the first of quite a few objects I have planned for a game. This was a pain in the ass as I have never textured anything past just slapping a single color on it.

This is a solid low poly sphere, any shading or color on it was done in Photoshop as a texture. There are no lighting effects on this object.

I point to this video tutorial: [link]
It covers UV mapping all the way down to putting the texture on the object. After watching around 5 times, I finally got it figured out. It served as a better teacher then any college professer I have met to date, and while my attempt is not perfect, it's not a bad first shot. So now that I have it mostly figured out, and I now have my cheat sheet with me, I can get cracking on the rest of the game. Hopefully this time I can get it done in time.

Enjoy this.
P.S. no stealing. I do not own Pokemon, however I made this and it took forever.
Also. I tried making it spin around for you, but as some may know, Maya is a complicated mess of a program and I gave up. So here is a picture instead. Sorry it's rather small.

I feel your pain, maya was just one big pain in the butt ^^; But at least your stuff is 20 times better than any of my projects I had created for my animation & 3d modeling class, I just wish my final animation project had survived :( it was pretty good.
